Armando López is a Salt Lake City-based dark fantasy author and international award-winning filmmaker, recognized for his short film Los Secretos Que Guardamos. In his writing, Armando crafts expansive worlds, intricate magic systems, and deeply complex characters. He is the author of the debut novel A Pillar of Blood and Moonlight and is currently working on the sequel, A Pillar of Frost and Deception.
When he isn’t plotting magical heartbreaks or exploring the dark corners of his fictional worlds, Armando can be found at the gym, experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, or building elaborate LEGO masterpieces. An avid photographer, he enjoys capturing stories through his lens—including his specialized hobby of LEGO minifigure photography—all under the watchful eye of his dog, Milo.
